My Favorite Oil Ramen Noodles (Abura-Soba)

20 years ago (!) I had an oil ramen noodles at a noodle shop called Menchin-tei for the first time, and I've been hooked on it ever since. I discovered the way I could cook oil ramen noodle at home.

The yakisoba noodles have a firm texture, and they are perfect for making oil ramen noodles.
Adjust the amounts of the sauce ingredients to taste.
I often modify the amount of vinegar, depending on how I feel.
If you want to eat it warm, microwave the sauce in Step 1, or microwave the noodles and soup together in Step 3. Recipe by Puyoringo

Ingredients

  • 1packet ■ Yakisoba noodles
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 tbspOyster sauce
  • 1 tbspSesame oil
  • 2/3 tbspSoy sauce
  • 2/3 tbspVinegar
  • 1 tspChicken soup stock granules
  • Toppings (to taste)
  • 1Egg
  • 1Leafy vegetable
  • 1Char Siu, boiled chicken, ham, etc
  • 1 dashRa-yu

Steps

  1. 1

    Put all the sauce ingredients in a bowl.

    Make a 1 cm cut in the Yakisoba noodle pouch, and microwave for 1-2 minutes.

    Add Step 2 into Step 1, and mix.

    Add toppings of your choice, and it's done.

    Choose any toppings of your choice I used soft-boiled egg, mizuna, and boiled chicken this time.

    It's also tasty with a squirt of mayonnaise!
