Traditional Ganth Gobhi Dry Curry

Ganth Gobhi in Hindi and Kohralrabi in English, is a signature winter vegetable. My mother prepare this vegetable with raddish/muli and green peas in an amazingly simple odia traditional recipe. In place of raddish potato could be opted for the curry. The preparation is simple, easy and taste is super delicious.

Ganth Gobhi in Hindi and Kohralrabi in English, is a signature winter vegetable. My mother prepare this vegetable with raddish/muli and green peas in an amazingly simple odia traditional recipe. In place of raddish potato could be opted for the curry. The preparation is simple, easy and taste is super delicious.

Chopped the Ganth Gobhi and potato without skin, into small pieces. Steam them with half cup water till cooked half.

Heat oil in a wok, add ponch phutan and allow to splutter. Now add onion, ginger and green chillies. Fry till onions are translucent.

Add salt and turmeric and cook for a minute.
Then add chopped tomatoes and Zeera masala paste and 2 Tbsp water. Saute the past till aromatic add oil separate.

Add green peas and half cooked Ganth Gobhi and potato stuff. Mix well,cook covered till the dry curry is done. Garnish with ghee and chopped coriander leaves and serve.
