Dairy-Free Baked Sago
A real South African classic
Steps

Preheat the oven to 160°C.

Bring the Almond Milk to a boil.

Add the Sago and Salt, cook over low heat until Sago is see-through.

Mix the Sugar and Plant Butter into the sago. Remove from heat.

Whisk the Eggs and Vanilla Essence.
- 6
Mix the eggs into the sago.
- 7
Pour the sago into a prepared baking dish. Grate over the Nutmeg.

Place the baking dish in a bigger dish filled with water (water bath).

Bake for 45 minutes until light brown.
- 10
Serve with Jam and / or Custard. Enjoy warm or cold
