Masala Dalwada with Chutney
Steps
- 1
First soak the lentils in water for 6 hours and then wash them thoroughly with water and remove the husks. Then grind pepper, coriander, anise and cumin in a mixer jar and move to a dish.
- 2
Now, in the same mixer jar, grind chilli, ginger, garlic and move it to the dish. Then take a bowl of lentils. (Do not add water to the lentils while grinding)
- 3
Now, in a large bowl, add crushed lentils, ground spices, green paste, asafoetida and salt and whisk well by hand. Whisk until the mixture becomes light.
- 4
Now heat the oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of hot oil to the mixture and mix it again well and start frying the Dalwada over medium heat and after completing fry the chillies in the same oil.
- 5
Now, take all the ingredients for the chutney in a mixer jar and grind it to make the Dalwada Chutney.
- 6
So, Dalwada is ready. Serve with Dalwada Chutney, Onion, Fried Chillies and Tea.
