Ingredients

  1. Chicken breast
  2. 2 tablespoonsplain yogurt (about 30 grams) or labneh
  3. Juice of 1 lemon
  4. 1 tablespoonwhite vinegar (about 15 ml)
  5. 1 tablespoonpaprika
  6. Chicken bouillon cube or powder
  7. Salt
  8. 1 teaspoonminced garlic (about 5 grams)
  9. Black pepper
  10. Mixed spice blend (such as allspice or shawarma seasoning)

Steps

  1. 1

    Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and place them in a large bowl. Add all the listed ingredients and mix well. Let the chicken marinate for 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook, stirring frequently, until all the liquid has evaporated and the chicken is browned on all sides. Remove from the pan.

  3. 3

    Place the cooked chicken, ketchup, mayonnaise, pickles, and French fries in a tortilla or shawarma bread. Roll it up and press it in a sandwich press or grill until toasted.
