Rice flour laddoo

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Roast rice flour/ground rice over low heat until fragrant and slightly browned (optional).
- 2
Leave to cool.
- 3
Melt butter/ghee in a pan, add sugar, vanilla and milk. Stir well.
- 4
When the milk is hot (not boiling) add the flour gradually and stir continuously until mixture forms a soft dough.
- 5
When the dough has absorbed all moisture and no longer sticks to the pan remove from heat and let cool for 2-3 mins.
- 6
Oil your hands a little(this is optional, only do this if mixture sticks to your hands) take a piece of dough and roll between your palms to shape it into balls.
Alternately you can use a tablespoon to measure the dough, roll between your palms and make same size balls. - 7
Now roll the balls into the dessicated coconut and then it's done.
- 8
Enjoy with a nice cup of tea! 😋😋

I made this recipe for kids who are allergic to wheat. You don't have to add grated yamaimo yam, but if you want to form shapes, yamaimo yam makes the dough stretchy and easy to handle!! If you're serving these to people with milk allergies, you can use margarine instead of butter! Recipe by yushuryo cookpad.japan
