Take black chana. Wash it for 2-3 times and sock it for 6-7 hrs. Pressure cook it for 5-6 whistles. Add water and salt to the cooker. When cool down drain water. Keep aside

In a pan heat oil add cumin and hing when cumin cracks add chopped onions saute it to golden brown. Add crushed garlic, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander-cumin powder and chole masala saute well.

Add tomatoes. Add some salt so it becomes soft and mushy fast. When it cooks add boiled chana remaining salt, some water and mix well. Using potato masher mash some chana so gravy thickens. Once boil add coriander and serve hot.
