Ingredients

  • 1 cupwhite chickpeas
  • 1 tspblack pepper powder
  • Salt to taste 🧂
  • 1 tbspdabeli masala
  • 1 tsproasted coriander & cumin powder
  • 1 tbspmint leaves
  • 1 tbspcoriander leaves
  • 3-4chopped green chillies (remove seeds)
  • 3chopped onions 🧅
  • 2small chopped tomato 🍅
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • 1/2 tspkashmiri red chillies powder
  • 1 tspcoriander & cumin powder
  • 3-4small size boiled/ mashed potatoes 🥔
  • 1/2 cupsweet tamarind chutney
  • 12homemade buns/ Texas buns
  • For 🥗 salad:
  • 2small size chopped onions 🧅
  • 1tomato chopped 🍅
  • 1 tbspmint leaves
  • 1 tbspcoriander leaves
  • 2green chillies chopped
  • 1chopped green bell pepper🫑
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  • 1/2 tspknorr aromat
  • Salt to taste 🧂
  • Chai seeds for sprinkle
  • Butter / margarine for buns

    For stuffing: soak white chickpeas overnight,next day boil them until tender, heat oil, add cumin seeds, when start to crackle, add chopped onions 🧅 stir, just saute it and add chopped green chillies, chopped Tomato 🍅, salt mix it well.

    Add kashmiri red chillies powder, roasted coriander & cumin powder, black pepper powder, dabeli masala and mix it well, add boiled white chickpeas, tamarind chutney and mix well, cook for 1 min, add mashed potatoes mix well, finally add chopped coriander & mint leaves mix gently, keep aside.

    For 🥗 salad: take a bowl and add chopped onions 🧅, chopped tomato 🍅, chopped green chillies, chopped green bell pepper 🫑, chopped coriander & mint leaves mix gently, add black pepper powder, knorr aromat, salt, chai seeds mix lightly, salad is ready.note: taste and adjust seasoning, salt & pepper as desired.

    For buns: cut buns into halves, spread butter / margarine and toast them on hot pan, until golden brown,remove from pan and stuff in the filling, add salad on top, cover with another bun pieces and serve hot.
