Vada pav is a vegetarian street food snack. This is the most popular Mumbai street food of the masses. A pillowy pav stuffed with spicy potato patty along with 3 types of chutney.
Steps

Mix gram flour, salt, red chilli powder, carom seeds and baking soda and water to make the batter.(Not very thick)

Heat oil (1 tb.spoon.)in a pan, and add garlic and ginger. Saute. add spices and potato. Switch off the gas. Mix lemon juice in it.

Make small balls from this potato mixture. Dip one ball into a gram flour batter and deep fry. Deep fry all the potato vadas like this.

Heat 1 t.spoon.oil in a pan, add garlic and fry. Now add coconut and peanuts. Fry. for 2 mins. Switch off the gas. Let it cool. Add salt and red chilli powder and grind.

Assembling of Vada pav -
Cut pav horizontally, spread green chutney on one part and sweet tamarind chutney on the other part. Sprinkle dry garlic chutney over it, and place a potato Vada on it. - 6
Your spicy Vada pav is ready to serve.Serve it hot with green chilli pakoda and tea.
