Ingredients

10 - 12 people
  1. 21 ouncewheel of Brie (Costco)
  2. 1/2 cuppreserves (strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, or a mix)
  3. 1/2 cupwalnuts, toasted and chopped
  4. 2 sheetspuffed pastry (Pepperidge Farms)
  5. 1 tablespoonbrown sugar
  6. 1/4 cupmaple syrup

    Preheat the oven to 375 F

    Slice the top layer of mold off of the brie

  3. 3

    Set the brie on top of one piece of the unfolded puff pastry in a ceramic pie pan

  4. 4

    Spread the preserves onto the top of the brie. Speinkle the walnuts top of the brie

  5. 5

    Bring the corners of the puff pastry over the preserve/walnut mix. Using the 2nd sheet of puff pastry, cut into one thirds as strips. Use one strip of puff pastry to overlap the pastry and exposed brie. Lay a second strip of puff pastry over the exposed brie at a 90 degree angle

    Pour the maple syrup over the puff pastry. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the puff pastry

    Bake for 30 - 40 minutes, until the puff pastry is deep brown. Let sit at room temperature for 10 - 15 minutes to let the brie set slightly

    Let people cut into the baked brie. It will ooze. Serve with sliced apples and water crackers.
