Soak chana dal and rice in water for about 8 hours. Drain the excess water and grind it with curd and water. Take it out in a big bowl and mix it well by adding salt. Then leave to ferment in a warm place for 5 to 6 hours.

Grease the steamer plate with oil. Heat 3 glasses of water at the bottom of the steamer. Add oil and chili-ginger-garlic paste, Eno fruit salt to the leavened batter and immediately pour it into a greased plate and sprinkle red chili powder over it and put it in the steamer.

Steam it for 10 minutes on medium flame, let it cool for a while and cut with a cookie cutter. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a sauce pan.

Add mustard, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, green chillies and curry leaves in it and prepare tadka,pour it on the dhokla and mix well.

Garnish the khatta dhokla with coriander and serve.
