Steps
- 1
In a bowl add the semolina and yeast.
- 2
Use a wooden spoon or whisk to combine the semolina and yeast.
- 3
Gradually add cold or warm water to make a smooth thick batter.
- 4
It shouldn't be too thick or too watery. Just in-between.
- 5
Cover and allow to double in size, about 30_45 minutes.
- 6
Fry the mixture in a heated non-stick masa pan.
- 7
Since there's sugar in the mixture you can eat it like that or add more sugar or honey or with taushe soup.
- 8
Once it doubles in size, add the sugar, salt and onion and mix to combine.
