There is something about the amazing taste of corn tortillas and tomato sauce based recipes, like they harmonize since the beginning of existence!!

Heat the corn tortillas a bit, as they won't crack as much. Heating allows corn tortillas to become more ply able to form shapes or rolling up. Line 2 pans 8x8 with 4 each of the tortillas overlapping covering bottom of pan.

Brown the beef with all the spices except taco mix. Chop the sausage. Dice the onion

Add the onion and sausage. The sausage is brown and serve and is already cooked. Add tomato sauce and sugar. Blend in the taco seasoning mix and water.

Add sauce to the bottom set of tortillas. Cut 2 tortillas in half put flat end next to side of pan. The round parts slightly covering trim ends of over hanging tortillas and cover openings. Add more sauce and top.

Add cheeses on top and spread it out to cover the tops.

Put in oven 30 minutes. Let rest 15 minutes. Between baking and resting the corn tortillas will absorb some of the juices. Rest, cut, and serve. I hope you enjoy!!!
