Fresh Tahitian Tuna Salad ☀️ 🥥🌴 'Poisson Cru'

I grew up on a South Pacific island. I have memories of my dad taking me fishing and if we got lucky we would find a beach to fillet the fish and prepare this salad. The freshest tuna is the one you've just caught! You don't need any cooking equipment either, just a large bowl, chopping board and sharp knife.

Steps
- 1
Cut up the tuna into small 1-2cm squares
- 2
Cover with the lime juice for 20mins. While you wait, finely chop the tomatoes, cut the cucumber and julienne (or grate) the carrot.
- 3
Drain the lime juice and quickly rinse the tuna under cold water. This step reduces the acidity.
- 4
Now add all the chopped ingredients and the coconut milk.
*If you are using a fresh coconut, you can blend the coconut meat ensuing you keep the coconut water. You can also use shredded coconut by blending it with some hot water.
- 5
Add salt and perrer to taste. Now garnish with chopped onions and Parsley. Serve with fresh 🥖 bread and dip 😋

I’m trying to recreate it here in Australia and I just wanted to know if you can use kingfish instead of like a yellowfin tuna. I was also wondering if you know the recipe for the tomato and soya tuna salad?
