Steps
- 1
Sieve 3 cups of rice flour, then grind the dry ingredients to powder
- 2
Then mix the above
- 3
Add the hot water, 1 cup at a time to form a dough (make sure it's kneaded well)
- 4
Mould into balls
- 5
Boil water in a pot, on medium heat, drop the balls and allow to boil for 30 minutes. To check whether done, you can carry a ball slice open to see if the middle is cooked, if not allow it to cook for few minutes....
- 6
Remove from heat, keep the hot water used to boil the balls because you will use it to soften during grinding
- 7
Grind for a while, then stop
- 8
Add some hot water to soften (to attain the consistency you want) and continue to grind until no lumps. If you don't have a grinder you can use the pestle and mortar or food processor
- 9
Then shape into balls once more and dust with some rice flour to avoid sticking.
- 10
Our Fura balls ready, you can keep in fridge if not ready for use.
- 11
Or Pick few pieces, add fresh cow milk or yoghurt and blend till smooth, add sugar to taste.
