Kesar Mawa Peda Recipe is one of the easiest Indian sweet to make and doesn’t require too much time or effort. It is made by combining sweetened khoya with other flavors such as saffron and cardamom and formed into peda shape.
Steps
- 1
Firstly, to a small cup add a generous pinch of saffron. To it add hot milk. Set is aside for ten minutes. You will see that the saffron has left its color.
- 2
Grate the mawa and add it to a non stick pan. Cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes stirring continuously till it leaves the sides of the pan.
- 3
Remove in a plate/bowl to cool.
- 4
When it becomes lukewarm, add the powdered sugar and mix it well.
- 5
Add cardamom powder and saffron milk and mix it well. The mixture is ready. You can form it in peda or modak shape. I have formed it in both the shapes.
- 6
Take a small portion of the mixture and form into a small ball. Make a small dent in the center and add a pista slice. Also made some in modak shape.
- 7
Kesar Mawa Peda is ready to be served.
