First wash the Parwal and take long thin slices. Also chop onion, tomato and garlic.

Heat oil in a cooker and add mustard seeds, cumin, hing, turmeric and prawal and saute for 2 minutes.

Then add chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, lemon juice and sugar and mix. Now, add 1/2 cup water, shake and blow 2 whistles.

So, the Parwal Sabji is ready to serve.
