Ingredients

  1. 2 cupSoya Chunks
  2. 3 TbspCorn Flour
  3. 2 tbspMaida
  4. 1 tspblack pepper powder
  5. 1 tspginger garlic paste
  6. as per requirementSalt
  7. 1 tspDark Soya sauce
  8. 1 tspKashmiri red chilli powder
  9. For Gravy
  10. 1/2 cupdiced Capsicum
  11. 1small diced Onion
  12. 1small onion (finely chopped)
  13. 1/4 cupchopped Spring Onion
  14. 1 tspdark Soya sauce
  15. 1 tbspRed chilli Sauce
  16. 3 tbspTomato Ketchup
  17. 1 tspVinegar
  18. 1 tbspHoney
  19. as requiredSalt
  20. 1/2 tspCorn Flour
  21. 3Green Chilli (slit)
  22. as requiredWater
  23. as requiredSpring Onion greens

Steps

    Boil Soya Chunks and squeeze excess water and keep it rest for 1 hour.

    Assemble ingredients for dry gravy

    In a mixing bowl add corn flour + maida + salt + black pepper powder + red chilli powder + ginger garlic paste + soya sauce and mix well.
    Add soya chunks into it and toss very well so that each soya chunks coats well.

    Heat oil and deep fry soya chunks till crisp and golden brown.

    Keep aside the fried chunks.

    In moderately heated pan add oil, allow to heat, add chopped ginger garlic and sauté for few seconds, then add chopped onion + green chilli and sauté till light golden brown, then add diced onion + capsicum and sauté till slight soft and translucent.

    Then add all sauces one after another along with little water. Cook for 2 minutes.
    Make a slurry of corn flour in 1/2 cup water.

    Add the slurry, stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes till gravy thickens and turn shiny. Add honey at this stage.

    Add fried soya chunks, mix well so that each chunks cost well with gravy.
    Switch off flame and dish is ready.

    Sprinkle spring onion greens and serve hot hot.
