Sweet Paratha/ Cheeni ka Paratha

It's children's day week and I am missing my daughter's childhood as now she is all grown up! This is her favorite paratha which I make with sugar and melted ghee. If you are making ghee from butter, then boil it halfway and use the ghee which is just starting to form. It tastes delicious! And it's healthy too as it's made with whole wheat flour. I have added sesame seeds for extra crunch, calcium and fiber.

First, mix the flour with salt, sesame seeds, 1 pinch of cardamom powder and 1 tablespoon ghee. Rub well with fingers. Then mix to a regular dough with warm milk. Rest it covered for 5 minutes.

Then mix ghee with cardamom powder sugar and jaggery. And keep ready. Take out a medium sized ball from the dough and roll out to a small disc. Meanwhile, keep a skillet to heat.

Then spread a spoonfull of ghee mixture on top. Fold into a pocket as shown in pic. Roll out in square shape.

Roast on hot skillet on medium flame and keep turning to get a golden brown colour on both sides.

Serve with your kid's favourite jam, sauce or dip. Watch them say" thank you mummy ❤️'
