Masoor daal

Firstly in a pressure cook masoor dal and water for 5 whistles. now in another pan heat 1 tbsp ghee and splutter jeera, dried red chili and add chopped onion, add ginger garlic paste, and green chili.

Saute well. further add turmeric, ½ tsp chili powder, and coriander powder. saute on low flame.

Now add garam masala, coriander, and crushed Kasuri methi. finally, serve dal fry with hot jeera rice or ghee rice.

Additionally, add tomato and saute till it turns soft and mushy. add the cooked dal along with salt. mix well. simmer for 5 minutes or till dal turns smooth and absorbs flavour.
