Saw this on cooks country and thought I'd give it a go. I make different sizes so there no straight recipe. I serve this with meatloaf 😊

Ingredients

  1. Russet potatoes. 6 small potatoes makes the small round batch
  2. Heavy cream
  3. Salt and pepper
  4. Salted or unsalted butter
  5. 1/4 teaspoonbaking soda. This helps the cream from separating
  6. Dried parsley optional
  7. Panko
  8. Fresh grated parm

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut ur potatoes in 1 inch cubes. Bring the desired amount of potatoes to a boil in heavy cream. Make sure to cover potatoes fully. This is what the recipe calls for but u can try milk or half and half. Idk i will try this eventually. Add about 2 tablespoons butter, baking soda, salt and pepper. Johnny's seasoning is nice too. Once at high summer reduce to a low simmer for 20 mins stirring occasionally.

  2. 2

Add more butter/ salt and pepper for taste. I add dried parsley but wouldn't mess too much with spices.

  3. 3

    Pour potatoes in baking dish

  4. 4

Mix half amount panko with half amount fresh grated parmesan together. Add enough melted butter to make a topping

  5. 5

Cover ur potatoes fully with topping

  6. 6

Bake at 350 until golden brown on top. You can broil on low for 1 min for extra brown like in round dish.

  7. 7

Enjoy and try not to eat often cus ull get fat 😆 😀❤. I want to experiment with different dairy to make lower calories
