Wash and soak hara chana in enough water. Take roughly chopped onions, tomatoes, garlic cloves and ginger in a mixer grinder jar and grind it to a smooth paste.

Heat oil in a pressure cooker on medium flame. Add mustard seeds, hing and let it crackle. Add prepared paste, mix and cook for 2 to 3 mins.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhania jeera powder, garam masala and salt. Mix everything well and cook till it releases oil. Add some chopped fresh green coriander leaves and mix well. - 3
Drain excess water and add hara chana. Mix well. Add water if required. Cover with the lid and cook for 3 whistles on high flame. Switch off the flame. Let the pressure cooker release pressure before opening it.

Garnish with chopped fresh green coriander leaves and serve hot delicious healthy Hara Chana Masala with Roti or Paratha or Puri along with rice.
