In a bowl, quickly mix together the flour, salt, butter, eggs, and powdered sugar.

When the dough starts to come together and the ingredients are well combined, stop mixing. Transfer the dough onto a sheet of parchment paper, gently press it together with your hands, cover with another sheet of parchment, and roll it out to about 1/8–1/6 inch thick (3–4 mm). Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.

Line the tart pan with the dough, fill with your chosen jam, create strips for the lattice top, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 20 minutes, or until the crostata is golden brown.
