Moong dal and almonds Halwa

Wash moong Daal thoroughly 2-3 times in running water.

Pat dry on kitchen towel. Now dry it in fan for 1/2 an hour.

Dry roast Daal in a heavy bottomed karahi till it turn slightly pink. Switch off the flame. Let it cool at room temperature. Now grind it coarsely in a mixer.

Add ghee in heavy bottomed karahi. Add grinded moong Daal powder and roast it on low flame till it turn golden brown and an aroma starts coming up.

Add dessicated coconut powder and roast for 1 minute. Now add sugar and slowly add milk (in batches) and keep stirring it till it gets thick.

Add some dry fruits and mix and roast it for 2 minutes and switch off the flame l. Keep some for garnishing.

Serve hot garnished with chopped almonds and cashew nuts.
