Cooking Instructions
- 1
First, wash the carrots properly and peel them and grate the carrots. Take one big heavy bottom kadai and put grated carrots and milk together and let it boil. Keep stirring.
- 2
Keep your flame medium to low and cook until milk evaporates and carrots also cook. This will take time but you need to keep an eye on it and then add sugar and all dry fruits. After adding sugar your halwa again becomes a little watery but don’t worry keep your flame a little high and when all water evaporates then add desi ghee.
- 3
Again cook for another 5-6 minutes. Then add mawa (khoya) and cook for a couple of minutes and add cardamom powder. Gajar ka Halwa is ready.

Gajar Ka Halwa (Indian Carrot Pudding) – Quick Winter Dessert - Microwave Method Gajar Ka Halwa (Indian Carrot Pudding) – Quick Winter Dessert - Microwave Method
Gajar Ka Halwa or Indian Carrot Pudding is a traditional North Indian Sweet Dish which is made with fresh red carrot, ghee, mava and lots of dry fruits. In this recipe, I used fat milk instead of mava or khoya. Carrots cooked in milk acquire a rich taste and melt-in-the-mouth texture, which are intensified by the addition of mava. It is a quick and tasty version of Gajar ka halwa using Microwave. MadAboutCooking -
