Til means Sesame Seeds and Gul refers to Jaggery or Gudd. Basically these are instantly done Laddoos made with just 3 to 4 ingredients in all. These are essentially consumed in Winters as they keep us warm. Healthy and guilt free indulgence is what I call them and not only these can be made and relished at anytime but Winters hold a special relevance because these are warm in nature and helps keep Winters at bay. These are particularly part of festivities too here in the Country. Whatever be the reason and occasion, these are an instant hit with children and the adults alike.

The best part is that these can be made and stored for a long time. And of course these can be made at the start of the Season and relished throughout the time it lasts. That's it. There is actually not much cooking time involved here as these are done just by mixing all the ingredients. There is no Sugar or Jaggery syrup needed here. But since Sesame Seeds need to be roasted a bit, it takes just a little time or say no time at all. And if you use roasted store bought Seeds then it's all the more easy. That's it.

Steps

No Cook Recipe
  1. 1

Firstly, it's important to roast these little one's on a low heat just for about 2-3 minutes. Don't forget to stir it every now and then. Also keep a watchful eye on it so that it doesn't get burnt. If not, the taste will be awful. Burnt smell is too irritating. Right guys! So do it on a low heat while keeping an eye on it until done.

  2. 2

Spread on a plate and allow to cool down before proceeding with the next step. Now add these along with the jaggery and the cardamom powders to a grinding jar. Blitz until done.

  3. 3

This grinding makes the seeds release some oil but still it does require a tablespoon or two of ghee or the clarified butter in order to facilitate in proper shaping of laddoos.

  4. 4

Add in ghee and start shaping into laddus of your choice of size. That's it. 3-4 ingredients quickly done and hassle free goodies are all ready to be enjoyed. Yum!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
