Ingredients

6 people
  • 1 cupwhite chickpeas
  • 3-4 tbspboiled & mashed white chickpeas
  • 1/4 cupsunflower oil 🌻
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 1 tspwhite vinegar
  • 3-4finely chopped onions 🧅
  • 1finely chopped tomato 🍅
  • 1 tbspginger garlic paste 🧄
  • 2 tbspgreen chillies paste
  • 1 tbspready made tomato paste 🍅
  • Salt to taste 🧂
  • 1 tspkashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️
  • 1 tspcoriander & cumin powder
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped coriander leaves 🌿
  • 2-3 cupsboiled chickpeas water 💦
  • 2-3potatoes 🥔 cut into four halves
  • 1/2dry mango powder 🥭

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak white chickpeas overnight, next day boil with 1 tsp salt, cook till soft. Don't over cook them. Remove 3-4 tbsp chickpeas and mash them well, keep aside.

    Heat oil add mustard seeds when start to crackle, add finely chopped onions 🧅 cook till golden, add ginger garlic paste 🧄, green chillies paste and mix well, add finely chopped tomato 🍅, salt 🧂, kashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️, ready made tomato paste 🍅 mix well, cook until oil comes out from side.

    Add coriander & cumin powder, black pepper powder, white vinegar mix well, cook for 1 min and add boiled chickpeas mix well, add dry mango powder 🥭, potatoes halves🥔 mix well cook for 1 min, add boiled chickpeas water 💦 mix well, cook until potatoes are tender. Make a thick gravy (don't too thick) serve hot with naan,' indian kulcha', plain paratha and salad of your choice.

    Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves 🌿.
