First time I used the rotisserie function of my AF and also the first time I used a whole chicken. Success!
Being frozen just makes the cook longer. Have not compared juiciness vs not frozen, but some say it is.

This recipe will not show you how to season a whole chicken but rather how to cook a frozen chicken.
Suggestions: to brine the chicken overnight. Season as desired before placing in the AF. Also insert lemon grass or add garlic/onions/etc stuffing if you want.

As for me, since I wanted to test the rotisserie function, I bought a pre-seasoned chicken. Also a small one to fit my Baumann Living MAF (older model).

Pre-heat your AF 5 mins at 150C.

I had to hammer the metal rod in since it was frozen solid lol. Place the holder on both ends and screw in tight- I experienced a problem with that during the cook.
Insert in the AF and defrosting will take around 30 minutes at 180C.

Then use the chicken function and cook for 20 minutes.

You can add the frozen potatoes or frozen vegetables under to cook and also catch the drippings.

By this time my chicken was not stable on the rod, I seem to have positioned it wrong so I removed from the rod.
Cooked on the tray to brown for 10 minutes. 180C
Don’t forget to remove veggies/potatoes if already cooked.

Flip the chicken to the other side to brown for another 10mins at 180C.

Remove from AF and rest for 5 minutes.
Serve whole for presentation and enjoy juicilicious chicken!
