Pressure cook the pre-soaked black gram for 4-5 whistles. Allow the steam to escape. Drain.

In a kadahi, Heat oil, add carom seeds, cumin seeds, and green chili, allow to splutter.

Add in the boiled and drained gram, mix and cook for 5 minutes.

Add Chana masala and salt, mix together and cook for another 2 minutes. Switch the flame off.

Drizzle with lemon and toss to mix.

Serve with pooris.
