Ingredients

  • Black Gram 100 gram (soaked overnight)
  • Ginger 2 inch piece (grated)
  • Green chili 1 (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoonCarom seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoonCumin seeds
  • Tomato 1 grated
  • 1 teaspoonChana Masala
  • 1/2Lemon
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2 Teaspoonoil

Steps

  1. 1

    Pressure cook the pre-soaked black gram for 4-5 whistles. Allow the steam to escape. Drain.

  2. 2

    In a kadahi, Heat oil, add carom seeds, cumin seeds, and green chili, allow to splutter.

  3. 3

    Add in the boiled and drained gram, mix and cook for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Chana masala and salt, mix together and cook for another 2 minutes. Switch the flame off.

  5. 5

    Drizzle with lemon and toss to mix.

  6. 6

    Serve with pooris.
