Sautéed Chard with Walnuts & Dried Fruit Sautéed Chard with Walnuts & Dried Fruit
I looked at various recipes and combined parts of each to make my own version. If someone you are serving has an aversion to or is allergic to nuts, place the walnuts in a separate dish for others to use them as topping.Step 1: Swiss chard has a very strong flavor, so I recommend a vinegar that has some punch, like balsamic. I sometimes use red wine vinegar.Step 2: If you don't have dried cranberries, you can use raisins. Recipe by maxine cookpad.japan -
Braised Wilted Chard Braised Wilted Chard
Eating green vegetables can sometimes get monotonous, but this dish excites even the pickiest eaters. The bacon & sunflower seeds add some fat & flavor to help cut the bitterness of the chard. It's so yummy, I usually have to make double so everyone can get enough! Yeah, I'm talking about swiss chard - not cake. Hope you enjoy it too. Devon -

Swiss Chard With Sesame Sauce Swiss Chard With Sesame Sauce
I once saw Swiss chard used in a TV cooking show overseas a long time ago.I happened to find it at a supermarket in Tokyo and bought it on impulse, although I'd never eaten it. It said on the package that it wasn't bitter and was good for salad, but the first time I bought it, the stems were a bit thick, so I ended up blanching it and coating it with sesame sauce. I really liked the texture and I've been making it this way ever since.Sesame seeds are best freshly toasted, so either re-toast or microwave them before using. This recipe uses enzyme juice instead of sugar. I recommend kumquat or plum enzyme juice.Enzyme juice from wild plants or grains are not suitable for cooking. Recipe by caterina cookpad.japan -
