Cheese straws from excess pastry
Delicious and reduces waste! #CookEveryPart
Steps
- 1
When you make a quiche or a pie and you trim the excess pastry and you’re like “well that’s not enough for another quiche or pie”.
- 2
Roughly roll out the excess and cover with a healthy amount of grated cheese. I used cheddar. Lightly knead to incorporate the cheese and form a ball.
- 3
Roll out again forming a loose rectangle. Cut into straws and place on a baking tray.
- 4
Bake for 10-15 mins at 200°C until golden brown.
