Foul Mdamas with Tomato and Chili
Very tasty and nutritious.
Steps

Mash the cooked fava beans using a food mill or potato masher.

Finely chop the onion, hot pepper, and tomato. Crush the garlic with a little salt.

Heat a little olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until it softens. Add the garlic, hot pepper, and tomato paste, and cook for a few minutes. Add the chopped tomato.

Stir, then add the mashed fava beans, salt, black pepper, cumin, lemon juice, and 1/2 cup water (about 120 ml). Mix well and let simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens.

Transfer to a serving dish, drizzle with olive oil, and enjoy.
