Skillet Apple Crumble

I did not follow a Recipe , I used the Internet too find out the Gas Mark for the baking of my homemade Apple Crumble and how long too bake it for . Would have preferred too use Cooking Apples such as Bramley's , but I did not have any . The preparation time just before the cooking is One hour - at the beginning of that first One hour the White Sugar goes into the Skillet with the cold water - bring too the boil and then immediately turn down too the lowest simmer
