IBS friendly Kelp Soup

My husband has a suspected IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and this pushed me to cook IBS friendly meals for him. Mostly no onion and garlic, but surprisingly, itworks! There’s a lot of ingredients that might trigger his symptoms that’s why all the recipes you’re gonna see here are clean, with bare minimum ingredients. You should try this too! Hope this helps if you have the same condition. ☺️

Ingredients

8 persons
  • 25 gpackage dried kelp
  • 2tsps sesame oil
  • 100 gbeef (i used beef samgyupsal)
  • 1 1/2 tbsps soy sauce
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 6 cupswater

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak dried kelp in water for 3-5mins. Drain and cut to your desired size.

  2. 2

    Heat sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add beef, 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce, and salt; cook and stir for 1 minute. Stir in drained seaweed and remaining 1 tablespoon soy sauce; cook, stirring frequently, for 1 minute.

  3. 3

    Pour in 6 cups water and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce the heat. Simmer for 20 minutes. Season with salt before serving.
