At first, wash the matar dal properly and soak overnight. Take a pressure cooker and add dal, water, and salt. Pressure cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame. Once done, take off the heat.

Take a kadhai add ghee and let it heat. Add dry red chili, cumin seeds, and asafoetida. Let it all crackle for a few seconds.

Add chopped onions and green chili. Fry onions till it turns light brown. Add Turmeric powder and mix well. Add chopped tomatoes. Cook it for 3-4 minutes more. Add a little salt, coriander powder, red chili powder, maggi masala, and half of the coriander leave now.

Add boiled dal. Add water if needed. Stir it. Bring to a boil. Add garam masala stir it and turn off the heat. Take it out in a bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice and Chapati....🥰🥰
