1 cupsugar
1/2 cupbrown sugar
2eggs
2 teaspoonsvanilla
2 cupsflour
1 teaspoonsoda
1 1/2 teaspoonssalt
12 ozpackage of Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cupchopped walnuts (optional)

Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla till fluffy

Sift together dry ingredients

Stir itno creamed mixture

Stir in chocolate and nuts

Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes

Remove from pan
