As the name suggests, Wheatgrass is a grass of the common Wheat plant. The young grass of it is freshly juiced to obtain the healthy Wheatgrass Juice.
Though a humble grass, it is a powerhouse of multiple nutrients like Vitamins, Amino-acids, Chlorophyll and others. It's most extensively used in the West since a long long time and it's gaining popularity in India now. The treatment by using this Juice is called Green Blood Therapy where the doctors recommend the exact dosage and it's intake depending upon the various long term diseases. Wheatgrass is called as Green Blood because of it's structural similarities to that of Haemoglobin and hence it helps in treatment of Anaemia. And it's super effective too.
At home, we can literally make it's Juice as well as Tea for it's spectacular benefits. Use it once a Week or even twice depending upon one's own choice. Take 10-12 stalks of it for one person. That's enough.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
