Chawal ke aate ke Badiyan or to put it in easy words, these are homemade Rice Crispies made with Rice flour that are dried under the direct Sunlight and used whenever desired by deep frying in enough Oil. An absolutely easy peasy homemade Fryums recipe that is a rage with our family. These go well with Rice and Daal, a pure bliss that can be enjoyed at any meal during our day.
The water used depends upon the quality of the Rice flour used. It is 1:2 ratio which means 2 cups of water for 1 cup of the flour.
That's it. Use water accordingly.
A perfect accompaniment to many an Indian meals, this is loved by all. It stays good upto a Year. It can be made in large quantities in Summers and can be relished throughout the Year.
Add some spices like Red Chilli powder, Ginger garlic paste, Black Pepper powder Coriander Leaves etc to give these a yummy variation. Relish these on a rainy day evening with garam garam Masala Chai for that perfect family time with your loved ones beside you.

Bring water to a rolling boil on a high heat at first. Stir in the flour with the other ingredients mentioned. Keep stirring and scraping continuously. It's a must.

Reduce the heat after you are done with adding the flour. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes more. That's it. Take it off the heat. As soon as you are able to handle it, start the process of making it.

Using a string hopper or a murukku maker, start making your choice of badiyan using the different attachments that come with it. I made long lines of them all along the plastic sheet. Sun dry them for 3-4 days. They will be crisp and perfectly dry in just a few days.

These can be dried under the fan too if you don't have access to direct sunlight. But still, if these can be dried under the sunlight at least for a day or two, it's absolutely good. After that these can be dried indoors. There would be no problem. Fry these in hot oil on a medium flame. Keep a maintained temperature. Enjoy!
