Ingredients

Soaking time 4 hours and cook time 20 minutes
5 to 6 persons
  1. 1 cup(green gram lentil) moong dal
  2. 1/2 cup (spilts chick peas dal) chana dal
  3. 1/4 cup (black gram lentil) Urad dal
  4. 1 medium size onion cut into fine pieces
  5. 2, 3 green chilies
  6. 1inch ginger
  7. Salt according to taste
  8. 1/2 cup coriander leaves finely chopped
  9. 1tbs coriander seeds,
  10. 1tsp cumin seeds,
  11. 12 whole pepper ground into coarse powder
  12. Oil for frying

Steps

Soaking time 4 hours and cook time 20 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and soak lentils for four hours.

  2. 2

    Grind soaked lentils with ginger and green chilies using minimum water

  3. 3

    Take out the ground mixture into a bowl

  4. 4

    Beat the mixture well with fingers, add salt and beat again.

  5. 5

    Add chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves, 2tsp spice powder and mix well

  6. 6

    Heat oil on medium heat and fry pakoras on medium flame till golden color.

  7. 7

    Serve hot pakoras with green coriander chutney and tomato ketchup.
