Slow Cooker Spicy Sausage & Bean Casserole

Add a dash of oil to a pan, add onion and fry on medium for five minutes, add garlic, red chilli and spices and fry for another minute. Add tomato purée and mix. Add to slow cooker.

In the same pan fry sausages until slightly browned, add to slow cooker with all other ingredients except the butter beans, mix well and cook on low for 4 hours.

Add the butter beans and continue cooking for a further 45 minutes.

Serve with crusty bread or mashed potato and garnish with parsley.
