Ingredients

Prep time-10 mins, Cooking time-45 mins incl soak
5-6 servings
  1. 1 cupRagi flour
  2. 1 cupsooji
  3. 1 cupyogurt
  4. 1.4 cupwater to make the Idli batter
  5. Salt
  6. 2 Tbspoil
  7. Few sprigs of curry leaves
  8. leavesFew sprigs of coriander
  9. 1/2 tspmustard seed
  10. 1 tspUrad Dal
  11. 1 tspChana Dal
  12. 1/2” ginger chopped
  13. 1/4 tsphing
  14. 2-3green chillies
  15. 1/4 tspbaking soda

Steps

Prep time-10 mins, Cooking time-45 mins incl soak
  1. 1

    In a bowl add Ragi flour, sooji, yoghurt and salt and 1.4 cup water. Mix to form the batter. Cover 30 mins

    Batter

    In a wok heat oil, add mustard seeds, Urad Dal, Chana Dal, chopped ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, chopped green chilies, Hing and stir for 1 min, add to the batter and mix. Add baking soda to the batter and mix well

    Grease the Idli mould and add the batter just below the brim.

  5. 5

    Steam for 12 mins on medium flame and set aside. Rest for 1-2 mins, demould.

  6. 6

    Plate with Pappu Charu (Andhra style Sambhar) and enjoy 😊
