  1. 2 tbspcorn flour
  2. 2 cupschickpea flour
  3. 1/2 crice flour
  4. 1 tablespooncoriander powder
  5. 1/2 tspcumin powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoonchili powder
  7. Pinchasafetida
  8. 1/4 teaspoonbaking powder
  9. 1 tablespooncurry leaves, finely chopped
  10. 1 teaspoongreen chilies, finely chopped
  11. 1 teaspoonginger, peeled and grated
  12. 1 tspgarlic, minced (optional)
  13. 1/2 cupgrated carrot
  14. 1/4 cupcurly kale
  15. 1/2 cuponion, finely chopped
  16. 1/4 cturnip leaves
  17. 1 (about 1c)large potato, grated,
  18. Required Salt
  19. Peanut oil for frying

    Collect the necessary materials. Place near the cooking area. Remove and chop the kale stalks. chop the leaves of kale, and turnip
    Peel and grate the carrot

    Mix all ingredients except oil and salt in a bowl using with your fingers. Add a tsp oil,, curry leaves, ginger, vegetables and mash them Use little water if needed. Knead. Batter should be thick like dough, add salt before frying. Pinch the dough. about 1/4 cup, make ball. Made 10 balls

    Grease your palm and flatten the ball. (if your afrad of dropping it in hot oil. You may flatten it on the slotted spoon and slide it into the hot oil). Lift it with a spoon, drain oil, place on a paper towel Paper towel will absorb excess oil on the surface. Transfer the vadas to a serving plate. serve hot with chutney or ketch up. I served withandhra tomato tamaring coconut chutney
