Ingredients

25 minutes
4 servings
  1. 1½ cupscooked banyard millet (samo)
  2. Oil for deep frying
  3. 2medium potatoes, boiled and peeled
  4. 1 tspcumin seeds
  5. 2 tspsginger-green chilli paste
  6. Rock salt to taste
  7. Thin buttermilk as required
  8. Sweetened yogurt as required
  9. Red chilli powder to sprinkle
  10. Roasted cumin powder to sprinkle
  11. Coriander leaves chopped (sprinkle)

    Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

  2. 2

    Take banyard millet in a bowl. Grate potatoes directly in the
    bowl.

    Add cumin seeds, ginger-green chilli paste, rock salt and mix well.

    Divide the mixture into equal portions and roll into balls.

    Slide into hot oil and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain and add to the buttermilk and set aside for 5 minutes.

    Squeeze excess moisture and transfer in a serving plate.
    Drizzle sweetened yogurt on top.

    Sprinkle red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder and coriander on top. Ready to serve 😋 immediately..
