I was wanting to use a bag of apples we picked up at the Farmer's Market. On Cool Day off work Apple Dumplings sounded good.

I was wanting to use a bag of apples we picked up at the Farmer's Market. On Cool Day off work Apple Dumplings sounded good.

Ingredients

  1. 8small Apples
  2. 2 cansCrescent Rolls
  3. 2 sticksUnsalted Butter, melted
  4. 1 CupLight Brown Sugar
  5. 1/2 TbspGround Cinnamon
  6. 8 ozSprite (or choice lemon-lime soda)

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F

    Peel, remove the core, and cut apples in half. Toss them in a bowl of cold water to slow the browning process.

    Wrap each half in a single crescent triangle.

  4. 4

    Place each wrapped half in a baking dish. Until all halves are wrapped and laid out in the pan

  5. 5

    Combine melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. When blended spoon on the tops of each dumpling.

    Pour Sprite into the pan along side of the dumplings. Do not wash off the syrup mixture you spooned over each dumpling.

    Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling.

    Serve warm. Drizzle syrup from pan over dumplings / ice cream
