Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F
- 2
Peel, remove the core, and cut apples in half. Toss them in a bowl of cold water to slow the browning process.
- 3
Wrap each half in a single crescent triangle.
- 4
Place each wrapped half in a baking dish. Until all halves are wrapped and laid out in the pan
- 5
Combine melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. When blended spoon on the tops of each dumpling.
- 6
Pour Sprite into the pan along side of the dumplings. Do not wash off the syrup mixture you spooned over each dumpling.
- 7
Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling.
- 8
Serve warm. Drizzle syrup from pan over dumplings / ice cream

The tops of these are a little burned, so you might want to keep an eye on your batch. This is a variation of a Betty Crocker recipe circa 1970. If you like a more traditional dumpling, mix brown sugar and water on the stove to make a syrup. Drizzle over the apples and ladle the syrup over the baking apples. Blair Webster-Urton -
