Marinate the chicken with lemon juice or vinegar, salt and black pepper powder.Set aside for an hour.Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan on medium high heat and add the sliced onions.Fry on medium heat till the onions are translucent. Then add green chillies,cashewnuts and fry for 2 minutes.

Cool and transfer it to a blender.Add ginger garlic paste and curd.Blend to a smooth paste and set aside Heat 2 tbsp more oil in a grill pan and fry the chicken till golden brown on both sides.Set aside.

In the remaining oil,heat ghee on medium flame. Sprinkle half crushed whole garam masala and cumin seeds.When they crackle, add the ground masala paste and dry spices. Cook on low heat stirring constantly till oil separates.Add the lightly fried chicken pieces and toss to mix well.

Add water and stir.Cook till chicken is tender.Add kasoori methi,slit green chillies,chopped coriander,fresh cream, garam masala and stir.Simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Chicken Mumtaz in Creamy White Gravy is ready to be served at parties or for a special weekend dinner with your family and friends. Serve it hot with fried rice,roti,naan or any Indian flatbread.
