Sirra means small in Tamil....sirra keerai kootu is a traditional recipe which can be served with rice for main course.
Steps

Wash and chop amaranth leaves.
- 2
Pressure cook amaranth leaves which are chopped with moong dhall and 1/2 cup of water with a pinch of turmeric powder.

Grind grated coconut, green chilli, cumin seeds to a fine paste.

Once amaranth leaves, moong dal is cooked well Add the grinded paste, salt, asafoetida and boil well.

Heat oil, add mustard let it splutter well Add urud dhall...once it slightly changes colour add to the sirra Keerai kootu.

Amaranth leaves kootu is ready to serve.
