To make soya sticks, in a large mixing bowl, add the sifted soyabean flour and the chickpea flour and mix it well.

Next add all the above-mentioned ingredients except oil and water and mix it well.

Add the oil and mix it well.

Add water gradually and form it into a soft dough. Cover the dough and allow it to rest for about 15-20 minutes. After the set time, add little oil and knead it once again to smoothen it.

Heat oil in a deep kadai for deep frying the soya sticks. In the meantime, get the soya sticks ready using a chakli maker with a star mould and make straight 2-3 inch sticks. Deep fry few sticks at a time over medium flame until golden brown.

Transfer to a plate lined with kitchen paper towel. Allow it to cool. Later transfer it into an airtight container. It can be stored safely for few months.

Crunchy and Tasty Tea Time Snack, Soya Sticks are ready. Serve it alongwith a hot cup of tea or coffee.
