Clean broccoli and cut into small florets.

Pour 1 cup of water in the pot or pan. Add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and 1 teaspoon of salt. Bring to a rolling boil.
💡 Use enough water to cover the broccoli.

Add broccoli and cook for 2 minutes or until broccoli turns bright green (avoid leaving broccoli in hot water too long) Remove from the heat. Drain the water and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add a tablespoon of butter when the broccoli is still hot. Mix until butter is melted. Taste. Add salt or seasonings of your choice only if necessary. Serve hot.

💡 Alternative to boiling:
Steam broccoli until it turns bright green. Transfer to a bowl and mix in butter when it's stil hot. Serve immediately.
