After marinating, pan-frying, and braising, the pork ribs become melt-in-your-mouth tender!
Steps
- 1
Marinate the raw pork ribs in barbecue sauce, pressing them down, and refrigerate for about two hours. Meanwhile, prepare the onion, ginger, and garlic.
- 2
Heat oil in a pan and fry the ribs until they change color. Add ginger slices and minced garlic, and stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes (3 cloves of garlic were used in the picture).
- 3
Add the onion and water, cover the pan, and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes until the water evaporates. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 4
Place the washed rice and water evenly into the inner pot, then evenly add the cooked braised pork ribs. Start the rice cooking process.
- 5
After marinating, pan-frying, and braising, the meat becomes melt-in-your-mouth tender. Thankfully, there are ribs, or else you wouldn't know if you're eating rice or meat!
